About Michelle
I have always been intrigued by humans and their journeys—and I look for the magic in life. As a Mediator, my passion and experience have led me to specialize in AgriBusiness.
-
My passion is agriculture and working with people. I grew up in a family in business, and with a farming background. My Dad was one of 12 kids raised on a farm that is still a large family farm in Southern Saskatchewan. My parents owned the local Napa Auto Parts in small town Saskatchewan, which grew into a mechanic shop to complement the parts side. They sold tires, fixed swather knives, water, even paint and Pic-a-Pop for a while!
-
Small town businesses have a special ability to help communities and adjust to meet their needs. When the opportunity presented itself to become a crop inputs dealer, they took it. My big break in business began with…washing the floors! Little did I know I would eventually open up a crop inputs location in Saskatoon and get into the family business.
When my Dad passed away after a short battle with cancer, many things changed. What I learned during my years as a business owner is that we all have great ideas and visions, but sometimes we need help to share what is important or how to bring others along. Succession plans are important and nothing happens in the order that we plan.
-
Money is a trigger for most of us and we all have a relationship with money in some way. I feel as people we all hold the answers to what is important and what direction we need to take—sometimes we just don’t know how to work together or communicate in a way that feels good for all of us.
My family remains connected to rural and agricultural Saskatchewan. My husband and I are from the same small town that we grew up in, and our three energetic and handsome boys infuse our days with laughter, growth and learning.

What I Love About My Career
I challenge and work with business owners to look at their risks and relationships to make the best decisions for themselves and how to ask the right questions.
I help people in conflict.
I work with families, whether together or separating, to try to communicate with respect and consideration of the other’s needs.
I work with all different business aspects, family dynamics, personalities, issues and levels of complexity.
I really enjoy working with people, hearing them, and trying to understand them. I want to help people feel normal, empowered to let themselves be ok and do that with grace, not only to themselves but to the person/people they are in conflict with.
I understand that it isn’t my job to take people’s problems away from them. I is my goal to help them feel relaxed and comfortable, helping them manage their challenges in a way that they choose and feel is healthy for them.
Not all people are ready to transition or work through conflict and that is ok. I feel good about having fun with people and offering tools or ways that they may see things from a different perspective.
